Chills by Heather Boyd is a regency romance, and the first in her Distinguished Rogues series.
Trouble magnet Constance "Pixie" Grange is in deeper than ever before. Between her mother and her father's gambling habits she is facing debtors prison.

According to her dear friend the only chance she has is to find a rich husband so enamoured with her he pays off all of her debts. Pixie isn't keen on marriage at all, let alone marriage as a gold digger- but what other options does she have?
None until the Marquess, her old guardian, and her friend's twin brother gets wind of the plot. He is aghast at the risk she is taking, and offended by the fact that despite his abundant wealth he didn't make the list of suitable husbands. He's not sure why he wants to get involved; trouble follows Pixie wherever she goes...
I enjoyed this regency romp greatly- a few erotic seduction scenes, enough secondary characters to make the world feel real, and a plot that makes you desperately want a happy ending in the form of Pixie's bankruptcy.
Less enjoyable were the few of typos I found in the text- seemingly omnipresent in the new self-published paradigm.
Having said that, an extremely enjoyable novel. I haven't bought the second in the series yet, but it is definitely on my list.
